Image & Copyright Policy

Last Updated: March 2026

At Engrave & Elevate, we transform photographs and artwork into custom engraved keepsakes. Because our products rely on images provided by customers or partners, all submitted images must comply with copyright and intellectual property laws.

1. Image Upload Terms

When placing an order that requires a photo, image, logo, or artwork upload, customers agree to the following terms.

Permission to Use the Image

By uploading an image to Engrave & Elevate, you confirm that:

• You own the image or have permission from the copyright holder to use it
• The image does not violate copyright, trademark, or intellectual property laws
• The image does not violate any person's privacy or publicity rights

Engrave & Elevate is not responsible for verifying ownership of submitted images.

License to Process and Engrave

By uploading an image, you grant Engrave & Elevate a non-exclusive, limited license to:

• Edit or convert the image into engraving-ready artwork
• Adjust contrast, crop, and simplify details as necessary for engraving
• Reproduce the image on the physical product ordered

This license exists only for the purpose of fulfilling the order and does not transfer ownership of the image.

Engraving Variability

Laser engraving is a permanent manufacturing process. Because engraving interacts with natural materials and laser equipment, minor variations may occur between digital previews and the final engraved product.

These variations may include differences in:

• Contrast or shading
• Line thickness
• Material grain or texture
• Overall engraving depth or tone

Such variations are normal and are not considered defects.

Image Quality Responsibility

Customers are responsible for submitting clear, high-quality images. The final engraving quality depends heavily on the image provided.

Images that may produce lower-quality results include:

• Blurry photos
• Low-resolution images
• Screenshots
• Photos with poor lighting or heavy shadows
• Images with extremely small details

If an image is determined to be unsuitable for engraving, Engrave & Elevate may request a replacement image.

Image Editing Authorization

Customers acknowledge that submitted images may require artistic or technical adjustments in order to produce a high-quality engraving.

Engrave & Elevate may modify images as necessary, including but not limited to:

• Background removal
• Contrast enhancement
• Line simplification
• Cropping or repositioning

These adjustments are made to optimize engraving quality and do not constitute misrepresentation of the original image.

Right to Refuse Images

Engrave & Elevate reserves the right to refuse any image that:

• Violates copyright or trademark law
• Contains protected logos or branded characters without permission
• Contains illegal, explicit, or offensive content
• Cannot reasonably be converted into an engraving

Proof Approval & Production

If Engrave & Elevate provides a digital preview or proof before production, customers are responsible for reviewing the design carefully.

Approval of a proof confirms that the customer accepts:

• The image composition
• Text placement and spelling
• Overall design layout

Once a proof is approved or production has begun, changes may not be possible.

2. Copyright & Image Usage Policy

Customer Responsibility for Image Rights

By submitting any photograph, artwork, logo, or other image to Engrave & Elevate, the customer represents and warrants that they:

• Own the image, or
• Have obtained all necessary permissions, licenses, or legal rights to reproduce and engrave the image.

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that submitted images do not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.

Photographer & Partner Submissions

Photographers and referral partners participating in the Engrave & Elevate partnership program must ensure that:

• They have the legal right to share images for engraving purposes
• Their client agreements allow the creation of physical keepsake products derived from the photographs
• Any required client consent has been obtained prior to submission

Partners may not submit images they do not have the legal authority to reproduce.

No Claim of Ownership

Engrave & Elevate does not claim ownership of photographs or artwork submitted by customers or partners. All copyrights remain with the original creator or rights holder.

Indemnification

By submitting images for engraving, customers and partners agree to indemnify and hold harmless Engrave & Elevate, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or legal disputes arising from copyright infringement or unauthorized use of submitted images.

Promotional Use

Engrave & Elevate may request permission to use completed products featuring submitted images for marketing purposes (such as social media, website galleries, or promotional materials). Such use will only occur:

• With permission from the image rights holder, or
• When the image does not contain identifiable copyrighted artwork owned by a third party.

Copyright Concerns

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on an Engrave & Elevate product without authorization, please contact us with:

• Your contact information
• Proof of ownership
• A description of the copyrighted work
• The product or image in question

We will promptly review and address the claim.

Policy Updates

Engrave & Elevate reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with the revised effective date.
